Global Lithium seals mining native title deal for Manna lithium project
Global Lithium Resources has signed a Native Title Mining Agreement with the Kakarra Part B Native Title Group. The deal enables Global Lithium to proceed with the development and operations of the Manna lithium project in Western Australia (WA). This includes various work streams and necessary approvals for the definitive feasibility study and mining lease application, which are expected to reach milestones by the end of the calendar year.
Ausgold signs land acquisition deal to advance Katanning gold project
Ausgold has entered a binding agreement to acquire approximately 860 hectares of freehold land for the development of its Katanning Gold Project (KGP) in WA. The deal includes land that was previously under legal dispute but now discontinued, allowing Ausgold to proceed with its plans, and provides immediate access to exploration and studies. The acquired land hosts a significant portion of KGP’s mineral resource.
MacKellar lands mining services contract for Carmichael mine in Queensland
Bravus Mining and Resources has awarded an A$2bn ($1.3bn) contract to MacKellar Group for mining services at the Carmichael mine in central Queensland. The five-year agreement aims to enhance efficiency and production at the thermal coal mine near Clermont. The contract is the result of a competitive tender process.
Liebherr finalises equipment supply deals across Glencore’s Australia operations
Liebherr-Australia has finalised multi-year equipment supply agreements with Glencore for its Australian operations. As part of phase one of the agreement, Liebherr will deliver 17 mining machines across Glencore’s six major operations in Queensland and New South Wales by the end of 2026. Besides the initial 17 machines, additional units are scheduled for delivery in both Queensland and NSW throughout 2027.
