All things in moderation. In this issue of Mine Magazine, we find easier ways to monitor ESG performance and discover what digital reporting can and cannot do. 

India has set its sights on becoming a coal exporter, despite the global move away from fossil fuels. We look at the tightrope walked by the country’s domestic policies. 

On the international stage, China’s investment in African mining has started to fray, as locals push back against illegal extraction. Elsewhere on the continent, a tailings disaster has become the latest to turn into legal struggles, reminding the industry of the importance of site stability.
