Keep material flowing efficiently from start to finish!

Martin Engineering is the largest manufacturer of conveyor belt cleaners in the world, responsible for many of the innovations that have appeared in belt cleaning over the last 40 years.

W

hen bulk material builds up inside kilns, silos, bins, hoppers, chutes and other equipment and stops flowing due to obstructions and ratholes, big loses will be faced!

Unnecessary maintenance, long down time, risk of security for collaborators, loss of finance and loss of material are some of the possible damages.

That’s exactly why Martin developed a line of air cannons that ensures your flow aid! Air cannons are highly effective with materials like coal, cement and aggregate, especially if they retain even small amounts of moisture and become sticky.

There is increasing value in finding ways to maximize the benefit of air cannon systems while minimizing compressed air consumption, which has led to the development of modular systems to suit specific operating conditions and layouts, while avoiding the additional costs that frequently accompany customized solutions. The flexibility of these new systems is a key element -- the ability to alter blast frequency and sequencing means operators can adapt to changing material conditions and weather to maintain optimum flow and system performance. More powerful air force from the new designs can extend blast intervals, helping to conserve compressed air, and pressures can be controlled to deliver maximum performance and efficiency.

Also, as one of our core values is “safety comes first”, our product is built with a mechanism that fires in response to a positive surge of air sent by a solenoid valve, eliminating the risk of an accidental discharge, preventing injuries and safety hazards.

You’ll find one that fits your needs, whether your application requires powerful bursts of air every few seconds to products that deliver shorter more frequent bursts.
