Dredge AMBER MH - 9237

Dredge monica MH - 5247

Our services

Mining: Cleaning of water storage dams, slurry transport, safe cleaning of lined ponds.

Industrial & Environmental: Industrial process waste removal, coal fired power plant fly ash removal, wetlands creation, municipal waste dam cleaning.

Waterways: Channel and marina dredging, removal of sediments from rivers and lake beds.

Our equipment, the dredge "Monica" is designed for reliable performance in mining, industrial, environmental and waterway services, light weight and easily transportable.

The company has provided dredging services for the following projects:

- KDC Ellendale – De-slime Return Water Dam and Process Water Dam (250,000 m³ was pumped out)

- Tiwest –Dredging Channel for plant relocation and dredging 10m deep prime pond for the Cooljarloo I Dredge.

- Bin Suroor UAE – Project Management of the Mussaffa Channel Dredging and Reclamation Area, project value US$ 36 M.

Dredge AMBER MH- 9237

Capabilities:

800 cubic meters per hour on water.

Expected 280 cubic meters per hour slurry at >30% density over 300 meters at 3meters head without booster.

Expected with booster pump installed 240 cubic meters per hour at >30% density over 700 meters at 25 meters head.

Dredging method:

Spuds are fitted to this machine and the cutter is a bucket wheel arrangement, the dredge uses a working spud driven into the ground and a bow thruster to swing the dredge in an arc of up to 20 meters diameter with the bow thruster also providing ground engagement force. The working spud allows the dredge to step forward to take another cut as required.

On completion of spud travel a holding spud is driven into the ground and the working spud is raised repositioned and the process repeats. As no anchors and winches are used more time can be spent on the dredging process instead of relocating anchors as the dredging progresses.

As no manoeuvring winches are fitted the dredge is extremely manoeuvrable and well suited for tight areas IE around jetty pylons, mooring areas, tanks and dams. This also allows the dredge to be moored in secure areas quickly and maintenance refuelling ETC can be carried out at the mooring as there is no requirement to pull anchors.

Plastic lined dams can be dredged with the use of a swivel pad under the spuds

Dredge monica MH- 9237

Capabilities:

430 cubic meters per hour on water.

Proven 140 cubic meters per hour slurry at >30% density over 300 meters at 3meters head without booster..

Proven with booster pump installed 120 cubic meters per hour at >30% density over 700 meters at 25 meters head.

Material pumped at these rates was 2.8 SG red mud in caustic solution from an aluminium refinery densities were consistently over 30%.

Dredging method:

Dredging is performed in straight line cuts using the stern thrust unit to provide ground engagement force. Depending on material and requirements either single pass at specified depth or bench cutting. Dredging at 90 degrees to original cuts removes most of the material and if required sweeping to clean up.

As no winches or spuds are fitted the dredge is extremely manoeuvrable and well suited for tight areas IE around jetty pylons, mooring areas, tanks and small dams. This also allows the dredge to be moored in secure areas quickly and maintenance refuelling ETC can be carried out at the mooring as there is no requirement to pull anchors.
