ADT Security has delivered a scalable, security-led HSSE solution purpose-built for the Australian mining supply chain, centred on Avigilon Alta cameras and its cloud-managed integration capabilities.
ADT Security general manager Geoff CampbellBrown said the project reflects increasing demand for cloudnative, connected security solutions that deliver industry-led results, including HSSE automation and reporting.
“From regional workshops and branches to warehouses and customer facing administrative offices, every site in the mining supply chain needs the same high standard of safety and security, whether the system is protecting people, assets or critical infrastructure,” Mr Campbell Brown said.
ADT has delivered specialised security solutions to the major miners in Australia for more than 20 years, we understand the industry and its requirements.

“For Australian mining technology must be fitforpurpose. ADT has delivered specialised security solutions to the major miners in Australia for more than 20 years, we understand the industry and its requirements."
“Today, security needs to be scalable, reliable, and capable of bringing together multiple systems into a single platform for effective HSSE management, automation and reporting,” he said.
Designed for multi-site mining operations, the Avigilon Alta-led solution combines high-definition video and intelligent analytics into a unified platform that enables organisations to manage HSSE requirements, activities and compliance from a single interface, integrating external devices such as environmental monitors to enhance the visibility of all-of-business hazards.
The deployment includes more than 350 Avigilon Alta cameras and 100 environmental sensors, providing consistent, centralised visibility across geographically dispersed sites in a number of Australian states and territories. The cloud-native architecture removes the need for onsite servers, reducing infrastructure complexity while enabling secure remote access, automatic updates and enterprise-grade encryption.
More than a surveillance system, the platform functions as an operational HSSE tool supporting real-time monitoring, automating workflows and delivering compliance and audit -ready reporting across safety, health, security and environmental requirements.
Key capabilities include:
- Real-time environmental and air quality alerts
- Zone-based access and restricted area monitoring
- PPE detection and compliance triggers
- Incident detection including slips, trips and falls
- Fatigue and behavioural monitoring insights
- Centralised HSSE reporting and analytics
- Security incursion threat detection
By leveraging Avigilon Alta’s advanced video analytics and open integration framework, ADT has delivered a solution connecting cameras, sensors and access control into a coordinated, intelligent model. This enables mining organisations to automate previously manual HSSE processes, improving accuracy, consistency and response times.
The platform is engineered to meet the demands of the mining sector, delivering scalability across remote and regional locations, resilience in harsh environments and the ability to standardise safety and security practices across complex operations.
ADT commercial sales director Collin Keeton, who led the solution design, said the solution design positions security infrastructure as the foundation of broader HSSE strategy.
“By using video as a primary data source and integrating it with environmental and operational systems, organisations gain deeper visibility into site activity while strengthening compliance and governance,” Mr Keeton said.
“Built for future readiness, the cloud-managed solution allows new technologies, sensors and analytics capabilities to be deployed without major infrastructure changes. This ensures mining operators can continuously evolve their HSSE capabilities in line with regulatory requirements and operational priorities.”
ADT Security continues to support the Australian mining supply chain with tailored, technology-led solutions that combine advanced video, intelligent monitoring and seamless integration to deliver safer, more efficient and compliant operations.
