Scania’s battery packs are specifically developed for electric rigs, loaders and other mining vehicles. With more than 2,000 systems already operating in underground mines, Scania batteries support 400–800 V powertrains and offer scalable energy from 21 to 624 kWh.
Engineered for harsh off-highway conditions, the systems withstand extreme temperatures, dust, shock, vibration, and electromagnetic interference, ensuring reliable performance throughout the product lifecycle.
Developed in-house with safety at the core, Scania’s battery systems feature advanced cell-level propagation limitation, multi-layered safety architecture, and ISO 13849-compliant battery management.
