For more than three decades, Coerco has been engineering liquid control systems that stand up to the realities of Australia’s mining and resources sector. From remote iron ore operations to high-demand gold and nickel sites, the company’s polyethylene-based infrastructure is designed for environments where reliability is non-negotiable and downtime is costly.

With a portfolio spanning pump pontoons, wastewater systems, process tanks and complete water-management infrastructure, Coerco’s value lies in the consistency of its delivery. Every solution is backed by specialist engineering, disciplined manufacturing and a highly skilled local workforce — capabilities that have earned the business a trusted position supporting major operators and tier-one contractors nationwide.

A proven dewatering partner

Across open-cut operations, efficient dewatering is essential not only to productivity but also to safety and environmental performance. Coerco has invested heavily in developing robust pontoon and pipework systems that maintain pumping efficiency even in variable or adverse conditions.

One example is the Genesis Minerals Tower Hill pit dewatering project where Coerco partnered with Greenlands Equipment who supplied a turnkey package (including design, equipment manufacture, installation and commissioning). Coerco supplied a pump pontoon, pipe and cable floats, all of which were tailored to the site’s operational profile.

The mine required dependable water movement as part of its ongoing pit management strategy, with equipment capable of handling fluctuating water levels and continuous duty cycles. Coerco’s engineering team worked closely with site personnel to refine buoyancy, pump mounting, access systems and safety features, ensuring the pontoon performed reliably from day one. The system’s polyethylene construction offered corrosion resistance and long-term durability, providing a low-maintenance asset with predictable whole-of-life performance.

This project demonstrates how Coerco integrates technical design with practical field considerations — rapid deployment, ease of handling, and safe operator access — resulting in infrastructure that supports both operational efficiency and long-term planning.

Industrial process tanks built for demanding conditions

In mineral processing and water treatment circuits, tanks must withstand chemical, mechanical and environmental stresses that vary significantly across sites. Coerco’s industrial tank range is built from high-quality tank-grade resin with engineered wall thickness profiles to ensure structural integrity over decades of service. The company’s focus on material science, rotational moulding discipline and quality control frameworks sets a benchmark for tank performance within the resources sector.

A standout project involved the delivery of a customised modular container tank for MACA. The contractor required a transport-efficient, large-volume tank system that could be mobilised quickly, installed with minimal site work, and integrated into an existing process flow. Coerco designed a modular configuration that reduced freight complexity and enabled rapid commissioning once on site. The polyethylene structure offered the chemical resistance and impact durability essential for high-throughput mining operations, while the containerised format delivered flexibility for redeployment as project needs evolved.

This solution is representative of Coerco’s broader approach: combining disciplined design principles with the adaptability required for real-world mining environments. By aligning engineering detail with operational practicality, the company helps clients improve uptime, reduce maintenance exposure and achieve consistent process performance.

Built for Australian mining, backed by local expertise

Coerco’s advantage is more than its products — it is its commitment to Australian manufacturing and its deep understanding of the conditions in which its equipment must operate. Every system is produced locally, allowing tight quality control, short lead times and responsive technical support. This model ensures that mining customers receive equipment that is both purpose-built and genuinely fit for the challenges of their region.

From dewatering and stormwater management to processing and wastewater treatment, Coerco continues to expand its capabilities while maintaining a focus on engineered reliability. Its track record reflects a company grounded in real outcomes, delivering infrastructure that supports safer, more predictable and more productive mining operations.
