The Donald Rare Earth and Mineral Sands Project is one of the world’s largest underdeveloped heavy mineral sand resources. Hong Kong-based mining company Astron is developing the project. The definitive feasibility study for the project was completed in April 2023.

Mine lifespan: 8.5 yrs

The Sorby Hills project is one of the largest undeveloped lead, silver and zinc deposits in Australia. Boab Metals and Henan Yuguang Gold and Lead are developing the project under a joint venture partnership.

The Fimiston open-pit mine was owned by a 50:50 joint venture named Kalgoorlie Consolidated Gold Mines between Barrick Gold and Newmont Mining until November 2019 and January 2020.
