Canada-based Equinox Gold has temporarily suspended operations at the RDM mine in Brazil due to delays in regulatory approvals for the tailings storage facility raise. The firm said that the operations will be suspended until this matter is addressed.

A Canadian review board has recommended turning down Baffinland Iron Mine’s request to expand the Mary River iron ore mine on Baffin Island, Nunavut, citing environmental concerns. The Nunavut Impact Review Board’s reconsideration report and recommendations have been made to the Government of Nunavut regarding the Baffinland phase two development project.

Kopore Metals acquires Agadez uranium project in Niger

Kopore Metals has acquired a 100% stake in the Agadez uranium project in the highly prospective Tim Mersoi Basin, Niger, from Endeavour Finance.

The Agadez Project includes three granted exploration permits and one exploration licence application in the Tim Mersoi Basin, which is claimed to be one of the world’s major uranium-producing areas.

According to the binding share sale agreement, Kopore Metals has issued 120 million of its shares, 80 million performance shares and 50 million performance options to Endeavour Financial.
