MINExpo INTERNATIONAL isn’t just the world’s largest mining event — it’s also the heaviest, with thousands of tonnes of equipment on the show floor. With some 44,000+ mining industry professionals expected to attend, you’ll be able to network and see all kinds of innovations up close (including the biggest machines).

MINExpo brings together thousands of mining producers, manufacturers and suppliers to experience innovation and collaboration firsthand.

Held at the Las Vegas Convention Center, from 24-26 September, this year’s exhibition will feature mining products for safety, drilling, engineering, materials handling, training, and all the latest in transformative technologies.

Mining Technology spoke to the event organiser, the National Mining Association (NMA), to pick out some nuggets on what to expect at MINExpo 2024.

We are very focused on “IF IT’S MINING, IT LIVES HERE” for 2024. This includes workforce development, AI and a look at new technologies that are being used in mining today. We are looking forward to showing you everything we have in store.

This year’s new star-studded Speaker Series features five leaders who will share their unique perspectives, experiences and secrets for success.  

Speakers include Emmy award-winning TV host, producer and bestselling author Mike Rowe, a leading advocate for the skilled trades, as the opening keynote.  

Dr Kelly Monahan (managing director of the Future of Work Research Institute), Danica Patrick (former professional racecar driver), Jon Dorenbos (former NFL player and motivational speaker) and Kevin O’Leary (Canadian businessman, investor and journalist) will also lead inspiring presentations throughout the event.  

There are a couple of panels that attendees will want to add to their agenda too: the Producer CEO Panel on Tuesday 24 September and the Manufacturer and Service CEO Panel on Wednesday 25 September.  

All these Speaker Series sessions will take place in the West Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center.

With more than 825,000 square feet of exhibit space, across three halls, MINExpo INTERNATIONAL 2024 promises to be our best show to date. We have rebranded and given the show a fresh, new look. 

This year is incredibly significant for the mining industry; mining is at the heart of energy security, national security, supply chains, electric vehicles, and infrastructure. This year, for the first time, we’ll be streaming live on NMA TV, to allow those who can't attend in person to still see the best our industry has to offer, from cutting-edge equipment and innovative technologies to interviews with industry leaders. There are new activations in each of the exhibit halls for 2024. Make sure you wear your comfortable shoes so you can experience them all!
