New mining finds across Australia
Some of the most exciting new mining discoveries in Australia include a significant lithium find in north Queensland and a copper-gold discovery by Stavely Mining in Victoria. Yoana Cholteeva maps these and other new finds across Australia.
Australia continues to see a flood of industry financing and political backing for expanding operations and further exploration in the mining sector. With the continued success of operations such as the Super Pit, it is perhaps no surprise that miners are seeking new discoveries in the region that could prove equally lucrative. Already, several such discoveries have begun to crop up and early analysis suggests they could prove fruitful. From gold in the Great Victoria Desert to a considerable lithium deposit near Georgetown in Queensland, we take a look at some of the most exciting new finds across Australia.
