The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 36.67% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Australia’s mining industry during March 2022 over February 2022.
BHP posted 12 IT jobs in March 2022 and registered a rise of 100% over the previous month, followed by Evolution Mining with nine jobs and a 50% growth. Gold Fields, with seven IT jobs, recorded a 12.5% decline, while Rio Tinto recorded an increase of 200%, with 6 job postings during March 2022.
Junior-level jobs held a share of 66.13%, down by 12.77% from February 2022. Mid-level positions recorded a 20.97% share, registered an increase of 44.44% compared with the previous month. In third place was entry-level job ads with a 12.9% share, up 33.33% over February 2022.
