Over the last 15 years, swaged CASAR ropes were continuously developed and improved in order to achieve maximised performance. Swaged mining ropes are the perfect choice for drum winder mining hoists with high levels of drum crushing and abrasion. Multilayer spooling and extreme depths cause a fast wear of conventional mining ropes, in particular in the crossover areas. Swaged rope designs reduce this by their extreme circular rope surface and breaking loads, which also lead to longer drum back end cut intervals.

Perfect lubrication, including the right selection of lubricants, is not only an essential part of a maximised rope service life, but also critical for a safe operation of a mining hoist. CASAR mining ropes were continuously improved by a combination of research, development and field experiences.
