Heavy Vehicle Wheel Removal

Removing wheels from haul trucks, diggers or loaders, requires the use of heavy tools and strong operators.


That is until now. Lewis Australia has developed the Lightening Bolt. These are ultra light weight tool extensions.


These extensions are being used by tyre fitters and maintenance workshops all over the world. They attach to existing RAD or NORBAR torque tools.


They only weigh as little as 5 to 16kg.


They have a torque range of 1200Nm to 8135Nm. (885ft.lbs to 6000 ft.lbs).


The benefits include:

  • Up to 75% lighter than existing standard extensions
  • easier to operate,
  • removes hands from pinch points
  • reduces back and shoulder injuries
  • increase productivity
  • can be used in pits for re-torques
