the smartest way to improve the

safety and productivity of your conveyor belt system

About Diacon

Diacon Australia offers engineered plastics-based conveyor guarding, spillage and dust suppression solutions that are designed and manufactured locally in Queensland. The company first delivered its innovative plastic conveyor guards to the Australian market in 1988 and has since become a market leader as a supplier of the unique product.

Unlike traditional steel guarding, the Diacon plastic conveyor guards are a robust, lightweight, 100% corrosion free, and easy-to-install alternative, which also allows for quick removal during maintenance operations. Being a lightweight plastic mesh construction, guard removal is a simple one-person operation. The Diacon guard also provides long life UV protection guaranteed with a 15-year lifespan.

Most mineral processing operations require some form of conveyor system. Conveyor spillage, dust control and guarding solutions essential to ensure the safe operation of these conveyors on site.

In addition to the plastic conveyor guards, the Diacon system includes conveyor hungry boards and over conveyor hoods. The conveyor hungry board is a stainless steel reinforced engineered plastic panel that keeps product on the belt, eliminating spillage. The engineered plastic material has unique properties of excellent impact strength, wear, and abrasion resistance. The over conveyor hood is a plastic cover that spans between the conveyor hungry boards, completely enclosing the product on the belt, reducing the levels of dust. This helps prevent lung-related health issues with workers on site as well as help alleviate environmental concerns.

Diacon plans to continue its growth following the launch of a new manufacturing facility, with a focus on expansion throughout New South Wales, South Australia, Western Australia, Tasmania and Globally
